As someone who has officiated hundreds of weddings, I am happy to give you guidance and support with vow writing. I can even write your vows for you, with your input and keeping them as surprise so you get all the credit for looking and sounding amazing on the big day.
BRIDAL PARTY ORGANISATION
Part of my job is to ensure that everything about your wedding runs smoothly. With the bridal party, that means taking away their phones, ensuring they have their flowers on correctly and making sure they are where they’re supposed to be, so you get the total support and calm environment you need.

If restrictions get in the way of your ceremony, we can reduce guest numbers to meet new guidelines. If it’s a total lockdown, we will work with your wedding venue to find a new date and amend the paperwork. If you decide on a new date that is 18 months after you originally signed your Notice of Intended Marriage a $150 fee will apply to relodge this documentation.
No, you can get married in Australia if you’re here on holiday and aren’t a Citizen. You will just need to complete the legal documents in accordance with Marriage Act 1961 and check that an Australian wedding ceremony that it will be legal in the Country where you are a Citizen.
The most important document is your Notice of Intended Marriage. This must be signed and lodged within one calendar month of your wedding day and no earlier than 18 months before your big day.
You will either need a passport (decree nisi/absolute) OR your birth certificate along with photo ID, preferably a driver’s license. If you were married previously, you will need a divorce certificate, certificate of annulment, or a copy of the death certificate if your spouse passed away.

All you legally need is two people who are sober and over 18 as witnesses.

If you want to be married in less than a month and don’t have time to wait for the paperwork, you will need to apply for a shortening of time with a prescribed authority. Once you’ve completed the Notice of Intended Marriage I can guide you in the next steps.
All documents must be in English and if not, they will need to be translated into English by a certified translator.
